Digital and Panaromic X-Rays

X-rays are a great tool to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of dental ailments. An x-ray can help reveal many diseases of the teeth and the surrounding tissues which cannot be detected by simple examination like:

  • small areas of decay between the teeth or existing fillings
  • infections in the bone
  • gum disease
  • abscesses or cysts
  • developmental abnormalities
  • some types of tumors

Nitrous Oxide

Nitrous Oxide is a form of sedation that keeps our patient relaxed while undergoing the dental procedure. This in fact reduces the fear of coming to the dentist.

Rotary Endodontics

It is the way of performing the root canal utilizing a specific electrical hand piece. This tool often makes the process faster and allows the dentist to perform the procedure with greater ease.

Electric hand pieces

The electric hand pieces are much stronger than air-driven ones due to the fact a motor is spinning the bur as opposed to air. This allows the doctor to remove decay at a faster speed. This will cut down the time it takes to complete the procedure.

VELscope

Early detection is the key in getting the treatment on time. When used as an adjunctive aid in combination with traditional oral cancer examination procedures, VELscope facilitates the early discovery and visualization of mucosal abnormalities, including oral cancer. In one or two minutes, with no rinses or stains required, a VELscope system examination helps healthcare professionals assess their patients’ overall oral health.

We use Velscope powered by Sapphire for early detection of oral cancer lesions. The VELscope technology stimulates epithelial cells and stroma by a blue light (400-460 nm). It is the self-fluorescence of the tissues that allows detection of changes in morphology and composition of the tissues in a non-evasive manner. However, this examination does not replace the oral examination and scalpel biopsy, which remains the golden standard of diagnosis.
